Here are some Allergy-Friendly snacks which are perfect for the school lunchbox:

 Brand: Naturally Good

Deliciously Free - Moist Chocolate Mud Cake Mix

Allergens: Wheat-free, Nut-free, Dairy-free, Soy-free. The recipe does call for 2 eggs, which could easily be replaced with 'No-Egg'

                             Where to Buy: Coles

I always try to have a batch of these made up, and separated into clip bags in the freezer for lunches, parties or weekends.

This is one of the most delicious allergy-friendly cake mixes I have found - it's very moist and chocolatey.

Baby Mum-Mum Rice Rusks - 5 different flavours - plain, vegetable, organic plain, apple or banana

                                     Allergens: Gluten-free, Peanut-free, Egg-free.

I don't think they contain Dairy or Soy in them either, but there may be traces of skim milk powder.

Where to Buy: Coles / Woolworths

These are a great snack for little ones with food allergies. Suitable from 12mths to 4 years. They come in packs of 2 in the box which is very handy.

Recently I was speaking with a lovely lady named Hazel Key, who is the author of this wonderful recipe book called 'The Clever Packed Lunch'.

Hazel's passion for making 'clever', yet healthy and delicious food for childrens lunches is inspirational. She is a former tuck-shop CEO, and all of her recipes have been approved by a nutritionist, including some gluten-free recipes. I got the pleasure of tasting some of her lunchbox goodies at her presentation day and they were fun, very tasty, and packed full of goodness. With simple recipes, most of which can be prepared in advance, and then frozen into portions ready for school lunches, this is the perfect Lunchbox Recipe Book for busy families!
