Egg Free Cake
This Recipe is Nut Free, Gluten Free, Wheat Free, Soya Free and Dairy Free.
 
Ingredients
  • 1 ½ cups (250g) Premium Self Raising Flour Mix
  • ¾ - 1 cup (165g) caster sugar
  • 6 tablespoons (150g) soft margarine
  • 4 tablespoons Golden Syrup
  • 1 cup (250ml) Water
 

Method
  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (160°C fan forced)
  2. Grease or line a 20cm round tin.
  3. In a large bowl combine all ingredients and mix well with a hand mixer or wooden spoon until batter is smooth.
  4. Spoon mixture into the tin.
  5. Set to bake for 50 - 60 minutes.

Additional Tips

To make orange and poppy seed cake as pictured replace water with 1 cup orange juice and add 2 tablespoons of poppy seeds to dry ingredients. Golden Syrup will give extra sweetness. Adjust sugar addition to taste.

 

Egg Free Pancake
This Recipe is Nut Free, Gluten Free, Wheat Free, Soya Free, Egg Free and Dairy Free.
 
Ingredients
  • 1½ cups (250g) Premium Self Raising Flour Mix
  • 1¾ cups (440ml) water
  • 2 heaped tablespoons (50g) soft margarine
  • ½ cup (80g) of icing sugar (reduced sweetness use ¼ cup)
 

Method
  1. In large bowl combine water, margarine and icing sugar, add flour mix. Using a whisk combine ingredients until mixture is smooth.
  2. Allow to rest for 5 minutes.
  3. Use a ladle to spoon mixture into a lightly greased frying pan and cook for about 1 minute on each side or until golden brown.

Additional Tips

Try pancakes with baked ricotta, pecans, bananas, and gluten free maple syrup. If you are lactose intolerant use a dairy free yoghurt. For thinner pancakes, use 2 cups of water.

 

Savoury Muffins
Ingredients
  • 1 ½ cups (250g) Premium Self Raising Flour Mix
  • 4 eggs
  • ½ cup (125ml) water
  • ¼ cup (60ml) oil of your choice
  • 1 cup savoury filling (grilled vegies, ham & cheese or antipasto)
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

Method
  1. Preheat your oven to 200°C (180°C fan forced)
  2. Grease or line 12 cup muffin tray.
  3. In a large bowl combine flour, water, oil and eggs, mix well until all ingredients are well combined.
  4. Fold in savoury filling and seasoning into the batter.
  5. Spoon the mixture into muffin tray and set to bake for 28-35 minutes.
  6. Rest for 5 minutes in tray and cool on a wire rack, serve warm.

 

Pizza Base Special

This Recipe is Gluten Free, Wheat Free, Soya Free, Nut Free and Egg Free.

Ingredients
  • 3 cups (500g) Premium Self Raising Flour Mix
  • 1¼ (315ml) cups water
  • ¼  cup Oil (your choice)
  • 1 sachet (7g) dry yeast

 

Method
 
  1. In a large bowl combine the yeast, water and oil and give it a good mix by hand. Add the flour mix and continue mixing, until elastic dough is formed.
  2. Cut to required size
  3. Allow mixture to rest (prove) for 20-30 min.

 

Additional Tips

For par baked pizza base; bake at 200°C for 5 minutes. You can freeze or refrigerate for later. For regular pizza, add topping after rolling; Bake at 200°C for 9 to 12 minutes.
